Inauguration of the Hajama-Sawa railway line and three concrete bridges in Al-Muthanna Governorate, Iraq(2025/02/27)

This project involves the construction of a dual railway line that starts from Hajama Railway Station, passes through Sawa Railway Station, and reaches Samawa Railway Station. The project's execution components include:

  • Construction of canopies and passenger platforms
  • Three integrated railway lines
  • Building a passenger-specific tunnel at Hajama Railway Station

- Establishing an advanced and efficient rail line with an integrated dual design spanning 24 kilometers, covering the routes between "Hajama – Sawa" and "Sawa – Samawa" stations

- Constructing two platforms at "Sawa Train Station" and two "integrated rail lines" within the station to facilitate train passage

Additionally, the project includes:

- Constructing three integrated concrete bridges* over the Euphrates, Al-Suweir, and Al-Atshan rivers.

-Building three dedicated vehicle paths

- Standard intersections with modern rail lines to ensure smooth train movement

- Constructing 43 diverse concrete bridges for railway lines and underground service facilities in agricultural lands.
