On April 13, 2025, the Governor of Bushehr Province, accompanied by a delegation of provincial officials, visited the construction site of the Dasht-e Palang Dam in Dashti County. During this visit, the governor assessed the project's physical progress and expressed appreciation for the efforts of all personnel involved, particularly the workers.
The Dasht-e Palang Dam is a significant water supply initiative in Bushehr Province, aimed at controlling seasonal floods and providing potable and agricultural water to the region. The project is being executed under a finance and build (F&B) model and has achieved 51% physical progress to date.
With a storage capacity of 145 million cubic meters, the dam is expected to play a crucial role in supplying drinking water, supporting agriculture, and fostering economic development in Dashti County and neighboring areas.
During the visit, the Governor emphasized the strategic importance of the Dasht-e Palang Dam in promoting sustainable regional development. He urged all stakeholders to intensify their efforts to expedite the project's completion and facilitate its timely commissioning.
